Old Redfield and Lyman steel receiver sights for winchester and marlin leverguns can be hard to find and are a bit pricey.I modify more readily available models to fit.

This is a view from the back.Note the spacer between the sight and the receiver that is needed in order to center the windage adjustment.

This is a top view of the modified sight.I have done several of these modifications and have been very pleased wiith the results.

No connection to earlier post, but great looking work.

Question for all who see this thread:
If you wanted to mount a red dot sight on a Rossi 1892 357 Mag how would you do it?

I made a new block to mount a Redfield sight for the Mauser on the the Marlin in the picture below. I didn't modify the Mauser block because I have a Mauser I may put it on some day. The Model 64 Winchester behind it has a Redfield sight made for the Model 94/64 etc.

Tony--If it's a recent round bbl. Braztech gun it's D&T'd on the barrel for a scope mount that they sell for about $12( holes are under the rear sight leaf). I have a cheap ($29) pistol scope on this one for some load testing. Dot sight would be same same.
