Just wondering about all the problems Lee and Lyman Have with their bottom pours leaking. I have not seen anything about RCBS bottom pours leaking or dripping. Does this mean that does'nt happen with RCBS pots?

I can empty the whole 20 pounds from my RCBS pot during a casting session and not have a single drip. I have not done anything to the pot. I can only comment on the one RCBS pot that I have had experience with.

My RCBS pot doesent drip.

Ive had 4 different Lee pots and 3 out of the 4 dripped.

Its nice to have one that doesent drip but its not a deal breaker.

The thing I like about the RCBS is the extra capacity

I have two RCBS pots made several years apart. They both have a slight tendency to drip. Someone on here suggested a remedy: get a cheap Chinese copy of the medium size Vise Grip and clamp it at the bend of the operating rod. This extra weight TOTALLY solves the minor drip problem previously exhibited.

Mine drips a little. Not real bad and not all the time. I have not tried to vise grip thing but imagine it would work. Mine is almost 20 years old and has seen probably a ton or so of lead.
Fluxing well and keeping dirty lead out of the pot seems to help too.
Now me Lee, that baby leaked. Not dripped, it leaked.

My old RCBS pot (25+ years) drips a little. Maybe an ounce in an hour. My newer pot (2years) does not drip at all.

I loved the Lee stalagmite picture. Or is it a stalagtite? I bought my RCBS pot used years ago at a Washington Arms Collectors show for about $125.00 A great pot, and it has never leaked a drop. Now, I think I could enter my Lee works of art at the Seattle Museum of Modern Art.
