Most of Bob's work is done with blanks, IIRC. Now Jerry Miculek, on the other hand, shoots live ammo.

I enjoyed Bob Mundens work on TV shooting balloons at something like 200 yards with a 36 or comparable gun.

Perfect reason to practice . . . a LOT!

Not to take away from what he has done, but he tapes the ballon to a steel target so the bullet splatter will break the ballon if he hits steel. Still a good shot to hit steel.

he also paints the the popper first so it is easy to see where the bullet hit the popper

A lot of them use cream of wheat loads for balloon breaking.
Regardless of the show of t he day , Bob can shoot!

BTW : I did a little research and it appears that Chuck Conners was a straight guy.
I don't know where that gay stuff got started. Right or wrong.
