can i extend a bridge or chucking reamer to 30"
for choke reaming

Sure. If the cutting flutes are bigger than the shank, find a piece of round stock, drill a hole in the end to fit the shank of the reamer, and solder the reamer into the hole. If the flutes are the same size as the shank, drill a hole into the end of the reamer and solder the (smaller) extension into the reamer.

This is the way I make liner drills and other long tools.

I might add drill said holes in a lathe. It's near impossible to get it concentric with a drill press or worse yet a hand drill.
