THIS (http://www.texasdrone.us/catalog_page.cfm?queries_index=index6&ProductCodeID=36) is the best price I've found so far on beeswax. If anybody knows of a better price, I'm looking to get a few pounds.

Randyrat is a vendor sponsor here, his product is top notch.
I think he charges $4 a lb...tough to beat that.
if your mixing some lube, you can get Lanolin and Carnuba wax from him too
and combine shipping.

on has to buy it in mass quantity in order to get it cheaper than randyrat sells it and then the shipping still has to be added , for small quantity ( 1-15#'s ) kind of hard to beat randy's price , from time to time one mite see some on such as craig's list etc , it's also a good practice to look in the local yellow pages , i've seen the price there range from $1 a # to $16 a # ... but one never knows unless they call and ask ...as for that dollar a pound , the guy was a flake , one can refine raw beeswax if they have the time and patience , look in the vendor sponsor's for randy's add

Sully,
I appreciate the tip, but to be honest with you, I'd be suspicious of the purity.
I'm making arrangements with Randy as I write. I want to do my business with Cast Boolits family whenever I can.

i actually looked on flea bay ....mostly buy it now's for $1.00 a oz ( mostly ) there was a few pounds in the 5-7 price range , the purity isnt as suspect as the refining temps , we can refine it more if needed but we cant undo scorched stuff ...( just sayin' )

i got a big block of real hard b-wax that someone was using to shoot 22's into.
once the natural oils and alcohols are gone that stuff is solid.

I agree Randyrat is a great guy to be business with. In a pinch i get Beeswax at AC Moore craft shop. I get a 50% off 1 item coupon. So 1 lb of wax cost about $4.45( coupon on website) I tell wife "Lets go look for something for you" After 27 yrs she says " Yea right you need something for shooting" She has me pegged
