Those NOS 03A3 barrels are pretty common. I just fitted a good 4 groove Smith-Corona to my feaux NRA Sporter and I just cleaned the grease out of a Remington 2 groove and took it to my gunsmith for fitting to a Krag.

As an aside note, I left a little of the Cosmoline from the barrel on the shop floor and my new foundling kitten (8 weeks old) Beamer got some on his feet and licked it off. Cost me $285.00 in Vet bills to save his little life. He is doing just fine, but I shure watch was is around.

No need for cosmoline in this area , lead seems to do a fine job . Several years back the count for cats and woodchunks stood at thirteen each untill november then the cats won [smilie=1:

Boys... I didn't mean to touch off a cat hate thread. I am very fond of cats and find those who hate and/or harm cats utterly repugnate and puzzling. Let's let this one go and get back to 03A3 barrels as I can get pissed on this subject of harming domestic animals real easy. Thanks

Yep, the're gone

They average about $100 for a 2 groove now. I wish I have bought more when they were $50

Chargar--You have a law background and refer to cats as a domestic animal. I dont know if it is true in all states, but years ago When Judge Joe Wopner had the TV show Peoples Court(out of California)I never saw one case where a cat owner was held liable for damages their cat did. The ruling was always that a cat was actually a wild animal and really not owned?????? Dog owners would pay through the nose for ANY instance of breathing out of rhythm. Seemed a double standard to me. I have no use for cats. Same with rattlesnakes, but there are those that protect them. Repugnant? Maybe so.

Carpetman.. You and I went round and round about killing cats way back on the old Shooters.com board. I am not looking for a rematch. Take care and keep em in the X-Ring.

Guys that barrel is in Kalispell MT. Isn't tsomeone here in that area? Up tp $50 but the reserve hasn't met yet.

Dan, I'm in the area, but don't need the barrel. My money is going to other firearms projects!

I don't know how much he wants for them, but my gunsmith tells me has a "a bunch" of these NOS 03A3 barrels.
