A number of times on this forum I have noted some are using alloys of 25% WW & 75% lead, also 50% WW & 50% lead. Assuming a good lube is used, what velocities can these two alloys reach in handguns? In rifles, could either of the two be used at 2000fps, or slightly greater? I presume expansion on deer would be very good. Your comments, data and actual experiences will be appreciated. Please be specific on calibers used.

....As an example, my 308 rifle shoots 11 BHN air cooled wheel weight with 185 grain bullets at 1900 fps into surprising groups at 100 and 150 yards with no leading....

I use a lot of 50/50 alloy for 45acp mostly running 850fps, about perfect IMO. I have also use it for LHP @ 1200fps in my magnums & w/ a GC, no issues going a bit faster.

i like to add 25% soft with my ww's air cooled.for my revolver and levergun boolits.
in the 357,44-40,44 mag,45 colt. 30 carb revolver and some of my super mag loads.
i push them from 900 up through 1650 with absolutely no issues. if you use a boolit with a good lube groove and a decent lube, the alloy will hold up with no issues.

for the 25-20 i waterdrop them. the only one with a plain base i do so.
i also like this same alloy with 1% tin added and waterdropped for my g/c rifle boolits. 30-30,308,0-6 x57's, 375 wins, and the mili rounds.
if this alloy doesn't hold up for me [and normally it does]
i then use a 4/6 alloy my rcbs 165 silh pours a better nose diameter with the 4/6
and i water drop it for my 223 at over 2700.
i also use it for a bit more diameter when needed.

for deer hunting the 50-50 and 1/2-3/4 % tin added makes a fine boolit hard enough to be pushed and malleable enough to hang together after hitting a rib or the scapula.
my girl shot a 150 lb doe with this alloy in her argie at an uphill angle the deer was standing behind a thick bush and gave her only the top of the shoulder/spine to shoot at [ a shot i probably woulda passed on]
she took the shot at 65 yds and the boolit went in the top of the scapula, took out a chunk of the spine and kept on going.
the deer she shot this year [about 125 lbs] was slightly quartering to us around a pine tree at about 75 yds , and she went in the brisket bone and out the off leg breaking the bone, and doing collateral damage to the lungs.
that boolit is probably still flying towards wyoming.
the deer took about 4 steps before she head shot it. and i wasn't even gonna try looking for remnants of that shot.
asked her why she didn't do that the first shot and she said she didn't wanna miss.
