Anybody saving their Zinc WWs and melting them down to sell? Price is going up and will go up BIG time this year. I think I am going to save my Zinc WWs here on and separate them.
One time I bought a bunch of pure Zinc bars from one junk $.35/lb yard and sold them to another for $3.5/lb I thought they were lead until I tested them. Little did I know Zinc was high at the time.

Looks like as of this morning Zinc is 1.0741, Lead is 1.1499...both are up from yesterday by almost 1% due to the demand from China and India.

I'd save but I'm lucky enough to only get about maybe 4 or 5 in each bucket I bring home.

Not me, i hate it. i dont get enough to worry about it. I've been scraping steel. you can find it all over the place. at the moment, i'm getting $280.00 a ton. old washers, stoves, grills, rusty old junk that most folks give you to get rid of it. you'd be suprised how fast you get a ton saved up.

Sam :D Did you make the ingots? And did you make them out of Zinc WWs?

I guess I'll start saving the Zinc 'rs
I've thrown the few I had in with the Clips and dross
and swapped for more Lead WW's from my scrapper.
I probably would have had 5 to 10 lbs of them if I'd saved them.
