You have got to send this picture to Mythbusters. They were trying to do this exact thing (peel the barrel like a banana), but couldn't do it. Didn't come out and say it couldn't be done, just couldn't replicate it in their trials. Was this a fluted barrel?

O' man... you kids with your newfangled toys better be careful! Back in my day when we wanted to bore sight a rifle, we just removed the bolt. Anyone who wasn't cross-eyed could get on the paper at 100 yards in no time but I guess you young fellers today are all blind... which would explain the 24X scopes used for deer hunting with objective lenses that envelop your barrels. You know you're all nuts, don't cha? :mrgreen:

Larry seen that episode also, they worked hard to try to get those results, forwarding pic's I bet the fellow that did that to his rifle could get his on show and make enough %$$$$$ to buy a new gun, lazer bore sight, and a new
Lincoln Navagator SUV to take him to any range around the USA. Or worst case sell that rifle on ebay and get same $$$$$$$

Always hear of ratty, dark bore that will still shoot after it looks dismal.
