Has anyone done this yet of running these style of bullets through a marlin 44 lever gun,

thought I would ask , since marlins do get finicky on feeding, at least on mine, it would hang a semiwad cutter on the feed , had to use a fairly rounded nose to keep it from hanging up

I haven't yet, but will shortly. Of the dozen Marlin rifles I own, only my 1894CB in .45 Colt will feed SWC bullets. They weren't designed to feed SWC's. The best bullet for feeding through a Marlin is a Round Nose Flat Point.

Hope this helps.

my browning 92 is extremely sensitive to oal.
the 44's i made had to be seated to 1.610 or under which meant they were cannellured right on the start of the ogive.
i could get them down to 1.600 if needed, but as long as i used a decent roll crimp and used a champher tool on the inside of the case, they fed fine.
my 94 ate them up and i would try them in my other 92 but i wanted these for the browning.
i may try some in the 44-40 to see how it does.
