The RCBS 27-150-sp is the only one readily available. I've had good luck with it.

Saeco has one cataloged that I have never tried.

Of the old, discontinued Lyman designs;
- I've had good success with the the 280468 as a plinker.
- 280412 can be problematic in that very few of them have a nose large enough reach the lands.
- 280411 is a plain base bullet that I have never tried.
- I have a copy of 280473 but haven't done much work with it yet. This is similar to a scaled down 311413 which has a reputation of working well under 1600 fps but not over.

adrians, might look at the lbt website, there are a number of molds designed for 270 there, from spitzer to fp.

I traded Jim for a 6.5 CM that falls at around .271.

I'm gonna try to PP this one.

I think I can get around 2700fps quite easily, so if I can get some accuracy between 2400 and 2700 I will be one happy camper

I think I have some duplicate 270 molds in my collection as well as some gas checks I can spare if you're interested.

Just got in on a group buy for LBT molds and both are for the 270, 1 is 120gr fn and the other is 140 gr fn and that will meet my needs for the 270 just fine. Yes I do have some J bullets for it but they will not last for ever and I am slowing moving to all lead bullets. Why because I can make as many or as few as I need and they are something I made one more step in the reloading learn curve.
