Ladle and tin oxidation?

I'm confused, thats normal, but this time its worse than trying to remember my phone number.

I am setting up to cast with good ladle methods and cheap lubing with Lee push through and pan lubing.

One question remains that troubles me. If I alloy my melt and start ladling will I lose lots of tin to oxidation and fluxing? To make life bearable I'm using magnum shot and clean flashing lead plus tin solder coming in around 96-3-1 lead/antimony/tin.

Some guys say they ladle pour all day and don't lose tin and some say thier dross is full of the stuff. If I cast out of a 20# pot with clean alloy do I have to worry constantly of fluctuating tin levels?

there is a easy fix for that put a layer of cat litter on top of your pot then when you go to get a ladel full of lead just move it aside with you ladel the lead will stay nice and shinny on the top I used that method for a while casting 45/70 bullets D Crockett
