My neighbor got an AR-10 for Christmas and I was helping sight it in at 100. I brought along my shortened BFR and shot it at 100 just to see where it was at that range. Two shots, touching, dead center for windage... :p .....but about 6 inches above the bull. I have it sighted about 2 inches high at 25 yards. Is the reason it is high at 100 due to the fact that I had Clements install the tallest front sight that Weigand Combat makes and I have the rear jacked up? Kind of like someone shooting a rifle with see thru rings and screwing with the trajectory because the scope is so high above the bore?
Would the same thing happen with a scope on a handgun?
One day I plan on shortening the front sight when I decide which load I want to use. I just wanted it tall after fighting with factory Ruger sights.
And the neighbor is already looking at BFR's and wanting to start handgun hunting.
Also posted this on another forum, but I thought I'd ask here too.
