Velocities 2400 250 and 285 gr boolits

Tell me the load data and velocities you are getting with "new" 2400 and the 250 or 285 boolit (7.5" or so barrel) in your 44 Mag.

How about with Lil Gun?

I am aiming for 1200-1400 fps.

So are "WE" working on a loading book for boolits since none of the others are, or is there a new book I don't know abou.

Too many New things to stick with the old books that are FAR BEHIND the times.

Both are PB Keith styles:

250 grain at 19 grains of 2400. Pressure 26,600 psi and velocity of 1300 fps

285 grain at 17.5. Pressure at 27,300 and muzzle of 1238.

These are loads for Smiths that don't exceed 28,000 psi which is my self imposed limit for general purpose loads in these guns.

I am running these out of a Super Blackhawk, Redhawk and Super Redhawk but 1200 - 1400 fps will do anything I need with either of thes boolits or the Lee 310.

I just have not had a chance to run them over a chronograph and will not before season.

The old Lyman Cast Boolit Manual I have has some real low velocities compared to what I have seen posted and was expecting.
