Reshape the cocking notch on the hammer, and the sear? It could be worn? Maybe case harden those places.

Here is rather long explanation of hammer/trigger relationship. Without seeing the gun it's hard to tell what the exact problem is.

Hope this makes sense and is helpful.

The proper relationship of the trigger to the full cock and half cock notches on the hammer should be such that when you pull the hammer back the tip of the trigger will engage either notch and stay there. When the trigger is in the full cock notch on the hammer and the trigger is pulled and releases the hammer, the tip of the trigger should be outside of the arc of the half cock notch. If wear or someone trying to improve the trigger pull has reduced the height of the full cock notch then the trigger can fall into the half cock notch. The angle of engagement for the trigger and hammer notch should be 90 degrees. If the hammer notch forms a hook, the trigger must try to move the hammer backwards in order to release. If the hammer notch angle slopes up and away from the trigger the trigger will slip from the notch.

Thanks to both you fellows, I did both and got it to working . Rehooked the full cock notch. took some off the bottom of the hammer block, lapped and stoned it with fitting , it works now, There was a new main spring and had too make it stronger also. Thanks
