Someone approached me about buying a rockchucker, 38 dies, and lee powder dippers. Whats a fair price?

I don't even need the equipment.
He might have a powder thrower, probably rcbs.

Thanks

IMO, it would depend on the condition of the equipment. A decent Rock Chucker might go between 50 - 80 dollars depending on age, and wear. The dies...what brand?...what condition? Carbide or steel? If they were RCBS or similar carbide dies in decent shape, I'd say 20 - 25 dollars. If he has a Uniflow powder measure in good shape (without the stand), I say around 30 - 40 dollars. The Lee dippers, aren't worth alot...a few bucks.

I'm sure you will get a variety of opinions...just comes down to what YOU think is a fair price!
Good Luck!

If you get a good deal on the rockchucker, I might be interested in it. Keep me in mind if you want to pass it along.

You can get a look at current market prices on ebay. There, used stuff frequently goes for more than mail order-new!

My usual practice is used stuff gets about half of new, more or less depending on condition.

I've bought two rockchucker presses recently for $80 each. Going price, my friend.

I got the new RC model, a little dandy dispenser with 2 rotors, rcbs powder trickler, 12 lee dippers, 2 bottles rcbs case lube, shell tray, 7/8X14 bench stand, lube pad, funnel, Lee 38 special dies (without my glasses). When I got home and cleaned everything up, the dies were 38/357 carbide. $85

That's a very good deal, wish I'd have gotten that price!
