How would Beartooth bullets work in a .30-.30 for whitetail deer.

Are they too hard?

Marshall Stanton at Beartooth might be the fellow to ask. His phone number and email address is on his website. I thought I saw a recipe for softening his bullets (heating in oven) on his website.

Yea, they're great over there.

I recently placed my first order of 405gr (.458 dia only because that's what I've been getting from others) for my Marlin 1895. When the order came in it turned out they sent me .460 dia bullets instead. Last night I sent them an email, asking them about it. Expecting an email back sometime, I was surprised when I got home today and found I had a phone call from Marshall telling me that they sent the .460's because they "shoot extremely well" in my Marlin.

He also suggested a .432 dia for the 444XLR I'm getting !

I'm impressed :-D

Radioactive

Mashall said to go to the beartooth site and find the information on making soft nose bullets. They will work somewhat like a partion bullet.
