I'm just getting started in casting. My question is i heard wheel weights are good? I'm casting for a 44Mag 200gr at around 1400fps will just wheel weights be hard enuff or do i need to add stuff and what do i need to add?

Should do well. Water drop them, the quenching will be good for them.

ww's are fine for the majority of revolver cartridge velocities.
it's when you get to the nax end of the spectrum you need to make some changes.
you MIGHT need a harder alloy.
you MIGHT need a gas check.
you MIGHT need some tin to help fill out the mold better.
you MIGHT not need anything but a larger diameter boolit to fit the revolvers cylinder throats properly or a slower powder to make things go along a bit easier.
then again you MIGHT need all of the above to make it work properly.
or just a better lube.

runfiverun has helped me a lot in my casting along with about everyone here. I read all I could but in the end, I just had to jump in and start casting. Whatever you do, try to get ahold of any and all types of lead. You can trade what you don't want but it really is getting harder to find lead of any type.
