I have been lugging around some 410 lee 210 tumble lube bullets that I cast about 17 or 18 years ago and suddenly had the urge to load them into brass and go shoot some of them. When I shot my 41 a lot , right after I got it back then I was using the 195 cast lee bullet and was getting pretty mediocre results with it and decided to try the tumble lube mold and only got as far as getting some of them cast up and then was distracted by something or other. I remember being very happy to be able to hit a milk jug at 50 yds with it. So this afternoon I shot up a box of ammo that had the 210 TL bullets loaded into them and they worked far better than I remember the 195's working. I was using 8 gr of Herco and seating the bullets out so that the crimp fell into the second lube groove from the front. They still chambered easily and I tried them at 25 yds first and hit a card board box and then proceeded to try to shoot at the same hole and got a pretty good group. then I went to 50 yds and had no trouble Hitting another card board box with a small dot on it. These show much better potential than the 195's ever did. I will have to cast up some more and play with it a lot more.

i am giving my wife a used new model blackhawk 5.5" and holster for Christmas. i took it out today and used some old j-bullet loads i made several years ago. FAR more accurate than i remember. The weight was 215 gr. over 2400. shot a milk jug at 200 yards on the third cylinder. All the others were really close, but did not hit. i think the blackhawk (at least) was intended to use a heavier boolit and really shows it.

The tumble lube series are very handy!

I own the 2 cav in Lee's .41 cal TL mold as well .......

........ and I have just one regret: They don't make it in six cavity!!

I never had much luck with the 195 Lee either.

My favorite .41 moulds are 210 RCBS, 230 gr. Saeco, 250 gr. LBT, and Miha's 200 gr. HP.

I poped for an LBT fitted up to my Smith 57. It drops a tad over 250 as I cast them and makes that revolver as accurate as anything I own and much more accurate than some of my junk. Seated on top of a healthy dose of 2400, it is flatter shooting than my .44 mag Smith and will out penetrate it, up close or at range. Can we say bear and Zombie medication.
