I was thinking of buying the Lee .360" diameter black powder mold to use as a mold for 00 buckshot pellets. It's 36 caliber just like 00 buck. This should work shouldn't it?

It will work as buckshot, but it is a bit bigger than 00 buck.
Lee has just come out with a mold for 00 buck that casts 18 (I think it is) at a time. Now we're cookin' with gas!

Do we have any idea when that will be hitting the stores? I have yet to find it any place other than the lee site

Just looked at it on the Lee site. Looks good but a little "spendy" for my budget. Maybe it will be a little less when it hits the stores.
I thought 00 buck was .36 caliber?

To answer Walker's question, I have not looked for it elsewhere, but I like Graf's, and usually if it's a Lee product I don't see at Graf's, they have it or can get it, for somewhat less than the Lee price.

The following has them a little cheaper than Lee.

00 = .36?
I thought 000 = .36 00 = .33 and 0 = around .32

I'd go with the .319 mold. Fits in shot cups better. You can still call it 00 since it is within saami speck of .33+/- .015".

I bought one of the Lee buckshot molds last week. They are shipping them now, I received mine in a couple of days. Only used it once so far. Have to find the right temp/alloy to fill out. Got it to work ok, not 100%. Am convinced it will work with the right conditions.

I've been using the .310 roudnd ball mold for a few years. Works great as either buckshot or for lightweight plinking out of .30 cal rifles. Definitely interested in that new Lee mold.

+1. Nine of those in front of 28gr of Unique is a good load.

Who makes the .319 RB mould? Lee?
Who makes the .319 RB mould? Lee?
Yes, Lee makes it. Note: many of the reloading retailers list it as a single cavity mould, but it is in fact a double cavity mould.
