My old BuckMark 22 will not feed, The bolt goes over the top of the bullet and hangs up on the front of the bullet. Does this on all different brands now, Has shot alot of ammo since 1989, Whats the fix, Thanks

If it is not picking the round off the stack in the clip then I would suspect the clip is dirty or is sticking somewhere.Robert

Have you dropped the magazine onto a hard surface and bent the feed lips, perhaps? Is the magazine fully inserted?

I suspect the magazine, too.

I see the back of the rim stays down and the nose of the bullet is up higher then the rest of the case, I dont think I ever drop it, dont look bend and lock ups up. I will clean it up. Joe
I clean it up, I fully loaded the clip, the top 4-5 fed okey, then the last 4 , the bolt overrides and the slide catchs on the bullet. Now what, Thanks

Joe,
It sounds like the magazine spring is weak. Either replace the magazine spring, if you can find one, or buy a new magazine.
Midway has them priced at $27.49, but they are out of stock.

I had this problem when my firing pin broke (was a Browning Challenger 2 - predecessor to the Buckmark). The pin protruding from the firing pin hole kept the bullet from sliding up horizontally. If thats not the problem, then I'd suspect the magazine like the others mentioned. Do you have more than 1 mag? Does it fail to feed with all, or just one?

I think Mk42gunner is right. Sounds like the mag spring to me.
