Hi Guys,

New to the forum. I was just given 3 lbs of Green Dot. I would like to use it in my para-ordnance p-13 which currently loves either 4.0 gr BE or 6.0 gr Unique equally with a 200 gr LSWC. Is there a load with Green Dot that will duplicate these velocities and be as accurate? I do have several reloading manuals i.e. (Sierra editions 3-5, Hornady editions 5-7, Lyman 49th edition, and Accurate powders red guide).

Thanks in advance

My standard playing around loading is the 452460 and 4.5 grains of green dot. It's filthy nasty sooty stuff but it goes bang and will probably continue to do so until I finish up the 8lbs I got a long time ago. I can get around 200 rounds before things gum up to the point that feeding becomes an issue. That should be reasonably close to what you are after - maybe a little higher velocity.

Speer reloading Manual #9 lists Green dot under a 200 gr lead bullet .
CCI-300 primer
5.0 grs. for 833 f/s
4.6 grs. for 729 f/s
No pressure data however this is the data for a 200 gr Jacketed HP
6.0 grs. for 957 f/s
5.6 grs. for 896 f/s
I BELIEVE THE VERY SOFT SWAGED SPEER BULLET IS THE REASON FOR LOWER LOAD NOT PRESSURE.
