Ok I got Air Feed Assem from Magma took the spring out assembled the parts to the Air feed and installed. Got a Napa air storage tank 5 gall cap, converted the hose to a six foot coil added a "d" size female connector on it. Put 80 lbs in tank and rotated the valve on storage tank to the on position get the air hiss when I couple the quick connects adjust regulator and barely get 20 PSI on regulator gauge. Rotated regulator both directions to max points and get no increase in pressure. When I turn regulator to low side I can hear faint hisses like it might be bleeding it off. I expected regular to match tank pressure is this a false assumption? thanks

Sounds to me that the regulator or the gauge is bad. You should be able to get at or near tank pressure out of the reg.

Thanks 357 Voodoo. I was kinda thinking the same thing but wasn't sure. Appreciate you weighing in on that.

Can you attach it to a tool that has its own gauge and verify line pressure vs regulator setting?

No I have a gauge to fill tank which reads 80 PSI, tank reads 80 PSI, regualtor reads 16 PSI maxed out. Going to install a new regualtor and see if that fixes the issue. This one is a Milton hope it's a better quality one.

If this is a Magma unit and it is new, give them a call or email and ask them to replace the whole thing.

Took regulator all apart cleaned the Teflon tape off everything reinstalled all the parts plugged air in, it hissed and went straight to 70 some PSI. Now that has made for a interesting day:) All that matters working like a top:) Thanks for all the help everyone.

Depending on lube you will find that running 90 lbs is not out of line.
