Has anyone found an alternative to Delrin, or other 1/4" tubing for a bolt buffer on a Ruger 10/22?
I have been considering Brass rather than steel.
Probably not worth it, but who knows?

NO, but I just use a piece of that opaque plastic tubing from Lowes, cut a little short lenghtwise that seems to let it rotate and move a bit sideways. A few bricks through the piece yet with no visible ware on the tube. Now I wonder where the rest of that 12" I bought went? BvT
Has anyone found an alternative to Delrin...
Is there a problem with the Delrin?

You could try polyurethane, that's what the buffers sold for bigger guns are made out of.

The guys who sell the buffers seem to have done a lot of studying on the problem, and their buffers are not very expen$ive. Delrin would probably work, as would other materials.
I'm running a TufferBuffer in my 10-22, which is said to eliminate the "clank" of the bolt hitting the metal bolt stop, which was really off-putting for me.
