Is there any type of material with a paste consistency that cures with the application of an activation type hardener?

Not sure of your question.

There are some epoxy resins that would fit your description. I have used epoxies that were the consistency of syrup to modeling clay.

My dad used to bring home huge sticks of 2part "pig putty" and we would scientifically cut it consistently and hand mould it into ammo for our slings......not slingshot, but sling. Maybe if you asked a more pointed question your answers would be better. We cannot see what you are up to through these wires.[smilie=l:

Boy you got that right about the Pig Putty (New Pig Corporation) I used lots of that stuff at work for all kinds of quick repairs on plastic and metal parts too.
When I retired I made darn sure I had at least 2 tubes of Pig Putty home in the shop !
Very handy stuff, In fact, I bet you could make barrel slugs out of that stuff, it drills and taps... Glad you mentioned it ! "PJ"

Nothing like a good sling. It's a lost art.
