Not bad if I had a 1911 to match the color. Wonder how sharp the pattern is? I have a Kimber with the rosewood grips that would cut the heck out of my hand when it was new.

I prefer the rattlesnake grips

Those would look real nice on a bright stainless/nickeled 1911

If they were brown instead of green....

I'm sorry I've looked at this thread 3 times now, and I just have to say it. IMHO those have got to be some of the uglyest handgun stocks I've ever laid eyes on. But if you like 'em who am I to judge, I'm just sayyin'. Dennis

Ok well the green may be a bit over the top but if you go to raascogrips.com they have all different colors and several different breeds of wood to choose from.

I am going to start looking for some smooth wood 1911 grips. The checkered ones tear my side up when carrying concealed.

Hogue offers a similar grip. They call the pattern "Lamo camo". They're usually brown, green & grey, in varying order.

I got a set of the half checkered Dymondwood grips from Raasco a few months ago. They had a Taurus PT1911 specific set. Very nice grips. The checkering is sharp but not obscene. I like the options of color and cut. The price was right as well. Only like 35 bucks.

The green is a little to much for me but mine is a carry gun.

I'm not sure I like green on my 1911. Maybe in some other color... I do like the pattern. What will a pair of those set you back?
