Team.

I have run out of the cruddy old Elephant powder I have been using for my 12g BP loads. Is anyone using Swiss powder for shotshells and if so what grade/load?

Much is it makes me sick to use my good Swiss in shotshells, needs must.

I still using Dupont 1, 2 and 3 f depending on which gun I'm loading for. The eight bore gets 1 F, the tens get 2 F and the rest get 3 F. I did break down and buy a few pounds of Goex 2 F to use in the in-line rifles, so as not to use up my supply of Dupont.

I'm using Goex FFg as well. Somewhere around 100gr with homemade carboard wads.

Jeff, If you can see if you can purchase Diamondback powder. It is just $10 a pound here and it shoots and cleans as well as Goex if not better. If not then shoot 2F Goex but to shoot Swiss for shotgun would be a waste of good powder. If you must then the 1 1/2 would work the best as the Swiss powder is a smaller grain than the Goex.

Good morning
Same here in Peru... There is one brand (unknown) and looks like 3F. But shoots well and is clean. The 2 dealers get it pre-pachaged in 1/4 pound plastic bags. One of my favorites in 44-40.
