View Full Version : gas ck and tumble lube help

This is new to me ,going to do the 45/45/10 lube.Question i have is im loading for my 30 carbine .I've got gc from a member here .Do i tumble lube 1st .Than add gc and size through the lee dies ? you guys here are great and im glad im part of this site !!

you can do them either way. if you are using a lee push through sizer put a litt lube on the bullet before sizing to prevent any lead build up in the die. i use a lee push through and lube the bullets first let dry and then size them and re-lube again.

Lube, install check, size, lube.

I put on as little lube as possible.
I like it so thin you can't see it.
In fact, I need to feel one or two, just to be sure they are coated.
When the second coat is dry, you can see the difference between
a double coated sized boolit and one that just fell from the mold.
the lubed boolit has the look of age patina.

You can also just apply a little lube to the die every 20 or so with a q-tip (you install the GC as you size) and only lube once. I use pure alox on the die, 45-45-10 for the bullets.
