Disclaimer As well as it shoots and puts hole in paper it is great! And All my lyman are moulds are old new stock before 2002 are mint used that are also fine. So it is not from casting under sized.
But with the top punch and the 4500 sizer it is easy to clip and dent/scape the bullets.
Any Fix as it takes quite awhile to do them carefully.

If you mean the 356402 I have seen no problems with that style. If the base is too large it will hang up on the die and get dinged from not starting straight. The easy fix is a Lee nose first to run through first to 358 them lube & size with the 4500. The only other thing would be to take a lot of care as the base enters the die.

Or...you could get somebody with a lathe to cut a little lead-in chamfer on the opening of the sizing die, say about 3°/side out to a .362 diameter or so. You could probably get enough to help considerably using a taper pin reamer and/or a chamfering tool. You just need a little more opening to line things up before sizing.

Yes the 356402 it is a 2 cavity
I may get the machinist to cut a bevel in the to punch that does my motors.

Just have him polish the entrance for a bevel. It may be that you have one of the older Lyman sizers and they had a "step" instead of a bevel and that caused problems. Lyman has since corrected that but you occasionally encounter one. I have a .358" sizer like that now that's awaiting a trip to the machinist for a bevel./beagle

Thanks I will do that but will try the RCBS one that I got today for a pointy 115rn 9mm mould.
