Was a thread on using Nylon 1/2 in washers to bore out your own I cant find the thread . Since i am machcanically challanged it may be beyond me to make.:bigsmyl2:
The bushings I just measured are all just a hair under 1/2"; .497" and .498", and the same in height; .498". I think the washers would be too thin. If I were to make a bushing I think I'd look at 1/2" nylon bolt/cap screws. Prolly easier to work than brass without a lathe. But if you had a drill press and a good drill vise, you might be able to fabricate one from brass...

Pics aren't there anymore, but I have them at home on another computer.
I found the nylon spacers at Ace Hardware in the fastener section. My basic fractional drill bit set didn't have the right sizes to get them to work (better now that I have a lathe) and I sold the measure when down sizing.
