"360 200Gr SWC NOE Group Buy"
I am far from experienced enough with this whole process to be in charge, but I was wondering if there is any interest in a PB 200 grain SWC mold for .38 Special/.357 Magnum/.357 Maximum? I was thinking something along the lines of a 358627, but slightly shorter so its right at about 200 grains and w/o the gas check.
I really like the 200 grain boolit for .38 Special and .357 Magnum. I've been using the 358430 with excellent results, but I prefer the SWC profile for my magnum loads. So, anyone else interested? Here are the designs, one with a GC, the other PB: ![]()

Yes, this could prove very interesting-
I've been considering removing the gascheck shank on one cavity of my RCBS 35-200 for lower velocity use. Same idea. Lots of 200gr 35cal molds out there to try. Are you perhaps looking for something along the lines of a "stretched" Lyman 358429? That could be done by adding another lube groove at the extended base- Let's keep this train of thought going, guys- who knows what we'll come up with! 358wcf

Another idea would be to copy the nose design and length of 358156 or 357446 so the boolit could be used in short cylinder length Smith & Wessons, as well as Marlin lever guns. I am really pleased with Night Owl Enterprises 360180 WFN in my VAQUEROS and Marlin Cowboy rifles..I had been using the 158 grain Lyman 358665 previously.

I was thinking of something along the lines of a extended 358429, but so long as its a 200 grain SWC PB, I'm open to the exact profile. Obviously it needs to be something that works for various applications and fits in cylinders, tubular magazines, etc.

I do NOT need another 35 cal mould.
That being said, I would like to see what comes of this idea and may be tempted. .. |

We can run it.
That's what we are here for. See if you can get some more interest. Send us your spec's and drawing or we can draw it, and will get it going. Swede Nelson

I like, but someone will have to sell me a .357 Max first.

I am **VERY** interested.
I was in on Lathesmith's recent group buy of a RN 358430, and love it for practice. Would prefer a SWC for "service" in both my .38s and my .357. And if it can be used in my Marlin .357 levergun as well . .wow! |

Load to a overall length of 1.596 in a 357 Mag. Swede Nelson

We will run it if no one wants to.
Looks like 3 maybe 4 that want it. Lets see if we have 15 that want it. Swede Nelson

If you will tack a GC on the bottom of the cherry I would take one for my .357MAX ! Jerry

Swede, I'm interested in a 2 cavity that will use Lee handles. Are we looking for 15 all the same, or are there cavity options?
Thanks!

Swede,
This looks quite a bit like Lyman's 215gr GC SWC without the GC. However, even though I have two of those molds, originally designed for the 357Max, I would love to put my name high on the list for one of these! Details to follow, but this looks too good to pass up- Thanks again and again for all your work on behalf of the gang! 358wcf
