You can form it from .348 winnie but the base diameter is a bit much.

Keep looking around for it. Jamisons' makes it already. Or you could get that Bertram junk.

Why are the Bertram cases junk? I don't know anything about them - or Jamison, for that matter - but I'd like to learn without investing a lot of cash, if you catch my drift.

Jamisons is drawn brass, top quality stuff. Bertrams is turned on a lathe with poor Q.C. IMO. The drawn is the better type of brass for loading and it lasts longer. But the turned is easier to make is smaller quanitys. Jamison has all the tooling from BELL and it's good stuff.

    1) Bertram's brass is drawn.
    2) Jamison's tooling is from Bell, then MAST. I doubt he got all of it, as MAST is still producing.

The 11x48 Rimmed Remington Egyptian has a base diameter of 0.5820" from a Kynoch 1884 drawing according to _Designing and Forming Custom Cartridges for Rifles and Handguns_ by Ken Howell. The case is 1.94" (49.26mm) long.

Bertram brass is not turned, and not junk - they had their problems, but quality, while maybe not stellar, is quite good in the larger cases. I did hear that their smaller cases sometimes can have problems though. My experience with some 577-450 and 500/450 is positive, except that case capacity can be different between lots. But that goes for any brass from anyone...
