Were to search for military rifles

Besides S.O.G. and Gunbroker are there any other places to search for military rifles? For a C&R license holder?

Gunsamerica, Auctionarms, Joe Salter, etc. Just modern, or antique also? Some sites have a link page that can lead you to an almost infinite search.

Not for me. I live on the far other end of the state. If I want it bad enough, I suck it up and pay. Got a pretty good Schmidt Ruben 1911(K11) a couple of months ago.

I'm lucky. I live only 15 miles away.

And if you have lots of money to go along with the passion....

It's a very poor time to be stepping into this venue of life. The first golden age was pre-1968. The second golden age started in 1986 when the import ban was lifted. We are now seeing the closing of the 2nd age of crufflerism. What makes the ages golden? Prices. In 1986 a m/96 Swedish Mauser could be had for $49. By December 1997 it was $90.

Three years ago I sold 3 Swedish Mausers, two m/96 and one m/94 carbine: $2,200. Great time to sell. Real bad time to buy.

What is left now are crumbs.

Depends, I find Gunbroker and private sales are my best methods of acquiring good milsurps. Sometimes putting a "WTB" thread on Gunboards also can pan out quite nicely. I got a Browning Hi-Power pre-WW2 with tangent sights and a stock cutout this way for a good price from a private seller, and I honestly wasn't expecting that WTB thread to pan out.

Thank you everyone. Need to save up some cash. Easier said then done. Then start looking.

An old list I bookmarked a long time ago. Some of these dealers might not be around anymore, but others still are.

There are lots of local forums on Facebook. A lot of them dont know what they have. This can be good or bad.
