I've had that upper in and out of my basket 3 times over the weekend. That is such a good deal, it's ridiculous. They had the MOE+ lower for $179.99, but it was out of stock by the time I clicked it.

Trying to decide between getting in on this deal, or buying a Mech Tech upper for my XD 45.

Reviews of that upper are pretty favorable.

Anxious to hear how M-Tec's does.

    Laughing my you-know-what off!

That's what I keep repeating to myself. The other side of my brain keeps telling me the one I have weighs about 14 lbs, though, and I NEED this one!

I take it you were not favorably impressed? Interested in more detail. If it doesn't shoot to my expectations the barrel will be sold to a blaster and I will put one of the Krieger's I have in stock on it.

if you were to put a 35 cal bbl in it, would you have a 358 ? other than magazine details, what would it take?

I can't honestly answer that. I know some are doing it but I have never done one in 358. Gas port size would need some research or an adjustable gas block but from what I have read it posses no real challenges.

there assembly method left much to be desired.
Keep in mind I only looked at their 223/5.56 line.
I am assuming their 308 line would be the same.

There are literally tens of thousands of their rifles out there at this time. You'd hear about any problems instantly over on that one board that specializes in black rifles. They aren't making high dollar rifles. They are making low cost rifles that work. I wish I hadn't seen this post because I may have to buy one now.

As a side note I don't have any PSA rifles. But I do have a lot of their parts in mine. I haven't had any issues w/ them.

While I don't diasagree, they make inexpensive arms that work. I'll give mine a shake down and it can be used as a loaner to a friend and I'm not worried about bone head moves like leaning on a concrete top or dragged across it if laid on a concrete bench. My POF and DD stay in my hands.

This post just cost me $604.98, and more to come as I stock up on more 308 components.
There is no difference between communism and socialism, except in the means of achieving the same ultimate end: communism proposes to enslave men by force, socialism—by vote. It is merely the difference between murder and suicide. Ayn Rand
