Hello Guys and Thanks for looking!
This is a design I drew up to help with tight throat pistol barrels and or revolver throats.
The front band tapers from .450 to .452. to help with having to seat so deep to get proper OAL. This is cloned from the famous Lyman 452374 standard ball cast bullet.
I have also made the nose as wide as possible but still feed well in all auto pistols.
Some 1911 designs run into a hitch with to wide of a meplate, but this one should run like water through a sieve!
I choose to leave out the crimp groove because you can taper crimp a 45 Colt and it will run just fine.
That is how I do it and receive my best accuracy that way
This should cast out right at 228-230 with WW + 2% tin.
This mold should shuck bullets like corn off the cobb the slight draft on the nose, slight radious on the meplate and the nice taper on the lube groove will allow them to just jump out of the cavity!
I have found this to be true on a couple other design that I put together. Just open the mold and they fall right out
This one will take 5 to go active and 10 to close and machine.
Turn around time will be around a week or so once it close's
