    Lyman 356637 147gr 9mm design

Does anyone know if any of the designs from Accurate molds are a copy of the Lyman 356637 mold? Not that I'm married to that particular design, but I have good load data for it.

Considering brass this time instead of aluminum.

Just ask Tom to make it exactly how you want it

I'd need the dimensions, which I don't have. Anyone here know the measurements?

I did. He does not know the dimensions of Lyman 356637.

I'll probably just use 35-147C with no bevel on the base. It looks really close to the Lyman. Close enough I ought to be able to work up a load from it without blowing myself up

I used the Precision Bullet Design ~ Advanced software to produce this sketch and the chart of weights and dimensions from various alloys.

The dimensions were not measured from an actual bullet but were scaled from a photo of a 4 cavity Lyman mold.

I have no idea what the as-cast diameter of the mold would be so I arbitrarily chose an as-cast diameter of 0.358".

The software calculated the weight from Lyman #2 alloy as 146.9 grains, so I believe that the entered values should be quite close to actual as-cast dimensions.

If you so choose, you are welcome to use the sketch as a pattern for a custom mold.

    Hope this helps.

    Respectfully,

Accurate 45-147 c would be one of the easy ones to load in the 9mm. If you use it in various guns it can be seated deep for tight throats.

That Lyman boolit is my go to in my 9mm. Works great. I also use it in my 357mag and 38spl.
