Does anyone have this mould, and what do you think about it? I'm tempted for the $60 at Midway using my C&R. Even though it's just a single cavity......

I have a sim mold as done by Erik. It is a massive HP & will fragment much above 900fps made from 20-1 or 25-1 or 50/50 ww/lead alloy. If that is what you are looking for, it will work fine for you.
For a little more you can get the HP mold that Mihec makes for 9mm. Its double cavity, brass and Mihec's molds are a work of art.
I've got a brand new one I've never used that I'll make you a deal on.

Do not argue with idiots. They will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.
I have this mold and it works great!
My only complaint is the humongus bevel base on the boolit! Be aware this is the Lyman 147 grain boolit HP'd by the factory to get a 125 out of it.
Shoots good but very tempted to send it to Eric at HP molds and have him remove the BB and then cut it back down to weigh 124 grains.
I thought about having the bevel machined to a gas check and shooting it in my 9mm AR15.

Crabo:
That's a nice idea but I'm not sure enough "meat" exists to do that without making the boolit a lot lighter than 120 grains.
If anyone has done it it would be Eric at HP molds and he will have a better idea of finished weight than I.
On the other hand I am also not sure you need a gas check on at all. I shoot plain base pretty fast without leading.
If you machined the bevel out rather than off it would add to the weight. Mine shot well but I just sold it to pay for another project. I had Buckshot make a couple of different pins for it in smaller diameters and tapers. I either needed to push it faster or use a softer alloy to get the most out of them. Mine was sized large enough to shoot out of 38/357 also.

I've got the plain jane Lee 125 grain rn mold. I pan lube them with the 50/50 parrafin/vaseline with stp recipe that I saw here(I forget what it's called). My son has a 9mm AR also and that rifle loves that bullet, I load it unsized over 3.8 gr bullseye. At our indoor range it makes one ragged hole at 50 feet. It shoots great and no gas check is needed.
