Lyman pot leaking at the spout

I have a Lyman pot, mag 20, that has started leaking at the spout. I have cleaned it and no change. Can this be fixed at home, will Lyman sell the parts or does it have to go back to the factory?

    So what else is new?
    Bottom pours always leak.

I have a Lyman and occasionally have to run a paper clip up the spout to move
some crud. Once you do that, flux and stir. It will probably move to the top of the melt.

I have lightly tapped the stopper to reseat in in the hole. Always worked for me.
There are two theories to arguing with a woman .. . Neither works.

Women always say that giving birth is way more painful than a guy getting kicked in the nuts. There is no way to prove that they are wrong.

But a year or so after giving birth a woman will often say "It would be nice to have another child".

You never hear a guy say, "It would be nice to get kicked in the nuts again".

Yes there is probily junk in the spout.
Also try and add weight to your handle.
You have to rember that steel floats on melted lead.
And the little spring on the stopper can wear out.
Just take a small pair of vice grips and attach it
to your handle and see what happends.

You must be mistaken, perhaps you meant your Lee pot. This forum exists, in part, to complain about Lee bottom pour pots dripping.

Please check the forum rules and try again.

I use 2 pots that only leak when I melt down the painted lead wts.. Stickies and regular ww do not. What is different about them? They look like oatmeal when they are first coming apart..........I am new to this, but there is a big difference in them....
