    CVA replacement locks

Does anyone know if there is a direct replacement for CVA locks?.I have had both mine give trouble and they are at that age were it's time to look hard at replacing them instead of fixing them.I have been told you can no longer get replacement parts also. Can anyone shed light on this. Pat

Track of the Wolf or Muzzle Loading Builders Supply sell the L&R replacement locks mentioned. I know of no replacment parts available. I had a CVA percussion lock that would not set off a cap. I tried about every thing. A new mainspring fixed it. They had their problems.

Several of the "Traditions" locks are identical to the old CVA. These are available as are parts which interchange with CVA. An L&R lock will cost more than the CVA rifle did new but they are worth every penny. The L&R will make your CVA into a real fine gun worth passing on to the next generation.

L&R has been making locks for a long time now. They are NOT going anywhere soon.
