    Proud Dad

Here is my queen gun, sees very little rough duty. She is going off in a couple more weeks for her final upgrades.

Here is a dads greates gift from above wanting to shoot the big gun. I let her dry fire it once.

    Looks good.

I see she is a south paw on a north bound gun.

She is a beauty, and so is the gun. What caliber, action, barrel, twist, is it? Since it's posted in Factory Guns, I guess action and barrel can be answered with brand.

She is left eye dominant and seems to be a natural with her BB gun holding it left handed. She fights her eyes when dad tried to get her to hold it "right." If she enjoys shooting and keeps with the sport we will get her some left handed guns when she gets older. The next gun for her is a Pink Cricket.

The rifle is a Remington 700 that started life as a Wal-Mart ADL clearance item in 243. Installed a Remington vssf II 308 barrel on her later in life and only have $779.00 so far in this rifle. See below.

    $245.00 Gun (Wal-Mart clearance for $275 - $30 mail in rebate)
$60.00 Barrel (Picked up on another forum in an unfired condition)
$150.00 Shoulder set back and chamber recut, barrel Installed and crown recut
    $35.00 Lugs Lapped
    $150.00 Muzzle Brake Installed
    $199.00 Stock
    -$60.00 Sold factory stock
Free Timney Trigger (Given to me by a friend but I can buy them for $99)
Free BDL Conversion, SS Recoil Lug (Given to me when I purchased Barrel)
Free Optics/Bases/Rings are borrowed until I can get something quality wise
    $779.00 Total

This is what I took home:

You are both lucky. You for gettng a sweet little daughter who likes shooting, and her for having a dad to teach her and buy her guns. I am willing to bet that she will have you at the reloading press soon, and for extended periods just to keep her shooting.
