    needing help with .375

I'm trying to use the RCBS 37-250-FN by sizing to .370 and patching to .380 and sizing back to .377. I keep tearing patches in the Lee push thru, which I lapped to .377 from .375.

Any ideas on what I'm doing wrong? Am I trying to patch to too large a diameter?

    Thanks!

It sounds like you have a rough spot. I can size from .318 to .309 in one pass.
What type of lube are you useing to size?
I found Auto Wax works very well. The die gets rid of the excess. Just a little works well.

Are you letting your patches dry before sizing? Are you lubing the patches before sizing? Most any lube will work, but you need something on the patches.

The lead in tapers on all the Lee push-thrus are quite rough. You need to polish yours useing a tapered dowell and 300 to 400 grit A/O paper. After polishing the die lube your patched surface and push it through the die.

I'd been trying to size the patches dry but with no lube. I'll polish the die interior surface and then use some lube on the patches. Hey, thanks guys!

Be tender polishing the interior of the die.
The paper will also smooth out the rough spots.
