Also strange that a 5 month old link still works even though the price has apparently changed.
LOL, I still have 7 cans left the last time I checked unless the Wife has been taking some off the heat duct in the basement. Maybe I should put it on Flee-Bay for sale and buy a new Shiloh LOL.

I mixed up a batch several years ago to lube som healed bullets for 32 Colt Short and put aside .
I started playing with the 300 Blackout with the 230 Lee bullet. The lube I put aside is now very thick. What should I do to thin it. I'm assuming the solvent in the wax has evaporated. Has anyone had the same problem with long term storage?

Yes, just add a little solvent and use it. I store mine in a glass jar for years. hc18flyer

Yep, glass Ragu jar works great. I keep 1 original Lee Alox container with the spout for dispensing BLL onto bullets. Rest stays in the glass jar until it is needed.

And don't be afraid to add 1% of Carnuba wax by weight melted into the Alox. Does great things for your bores and leaves a nice non sticky hard shell.
I truly believe we need to get back to basics.

    Get right with the Lord.
    Get back to the land.
Get back to thinking like our forefathers thought.

Never pick a fight with an old man - if he is too old to fight he will just kill you -

May the Lord bless you and keep you. May the Lord make His face to shine upon you and be gracious unto you
and give you His peace. Let all of the earth – all of His creation – worship and praise His name! Make His
    praise glorious!

Well l located my old mix and for what little was left I decided to start new.
    Midway lists $8 for 4oz + $8 shipping +tax.
White Label $23.88 for 32oz shipped. I ordered from them.
I already have 2 cans of the wax from the first time around.
I'm going to have to live along time to use it all up.

I have to give a thumbs up to White Label!
I ordered a 32oz liquid alox on 8-10 and USPS tracking shows out for delivery this morning 8-12. Standard shipping!

Lee Liquid alox is just Valvoline Tectyl 506 Buy it by the gallon tin. these days I use a special coating, does not attract or absorb dust, want a bigger diameter just do another coat or two. The secret of this preperation is to apply light coats not to heavy/ let dry then bake in a toaster oven/ repeat about 3 times. if applied correctly read sparingly you can put a bullet on an anvil and flatten it the coating will stay on the bullet and fold with the metal. I have not found a velocity limitation on my 45/70 1886 Miroku Winchester. I like using 55 grains of Varget behind a 405 GS Pill good for 1800 FPS at 10000 PSI less than H4198. boots a bit though. This coating has been around for a while now and it is in my mind a far superior product to any grease type lube, It originated in Australia I it is called Hi Tek

I think just about everyone here knows about Hi Tek, I have never used it, but do know about it.
I use powder coat, but it has some limitations, it doesn't agree with bore riding boolits.

I have never done anything but pan lube but I have a new micro groove bullet Mould. This LL tumble method sounds kind of messy. Do you wipe the front of the bullets down?

I don't find it all that messy. I use forceps to set the bullets on end overnight to dry. No, I don't wipe the front. Seems to me that the ogive engaging the lands and grooves can use a little lube too.

So will the mini wax work as a replacement for the Johnson's past wax in the 45/45/10
