What is your favorite boolit for .40 S&W?

I have the RCBS 10mm-200-SWC. Wondering if I should pair it with something light.

Lee 401-175 TC has worked really well for me. MP's 402-165 TC HP mold has been very accurate for me as well.
I have a Mountain Molds mold in 200 gr FP I really like.
Jacketed I like 180 gr and 200 gr. XTP's
Lyman 401654 (150 gr.), 401043 (170 gr.), 401638 175 gr. Works for me in both 40 SW and 10MM.
COME AND TAKE IT

For me, the Lee 401-175-TC has done well for me. It shoots well and cycles well.
Lee 401-175gr - TC has been great. I find it to be a good balance between the lighter weights , like 150gr. & the heavier 200gr. Delivers about 1000fps from my 40 S&W 4" bbl. Delivers good penetration & ample foot lbs. for defensive use. Excellent accuracy, from a very reasonable priced mold.
Lee 401-175 for me too

For light , paper target - tin can - plinking - fun shooting loads ... I have become fond of Lee,s #401-145-SWC boolit . Thr "fun loads" don't beat you or your gun up ... is easy on powder and lead and ... best of all ... in 40 S&W - the Lyman Cast Bullet Handbook #4 has a good section of reloading data with this boolit and 13 different powders !
I have ended up shooting this boolit most often in 40 S&W than any other ... and rather like the design .

My first use of the Lee 401- 175 TLTC showed promise, but then several hundred 165 gr plated RN showed up here so I’m shooting those up…..
Is the non TL Lee TC bullet better than the TL style?

I have a couple 40 molds. I really like my Lee 6cav 175swc.

Lee 401-175-TC does fine for me too.
If you are going to make a hole in something. MAKE IT A BIG ONE!
I have a 200 grain FP mold. Made by Mountain Molds when they were in business.
I'm liking the Arsenal 162gr RN, it's a scaled down version of the H&G 34. Works great in my pistols.
Lee 401-170-TL for me too. It is the most accurate in my 10mm Colt as well.
IT AINT what ya shoot--its how ya shoot it. NONE of us are as smart as ALL of us! The more I travel, the more I like right where I am.
I have a 6 cav. Lee 401-165 but it drops bigger and bigger as it heats up, so I replaced it with a MP 402-165 TC. That mold works perfectly.
This style of Boolit works especially well in Glocks with stock barrels when powder coated and sized to .402 No need to hotrod it these are practice rounds, if you need Defensive Ammo, go buy some already made.
