Someone tell me what I've found? SG1 SG2 A 308 Palma By Richard King

Maybe some kind of form die or something? I found these in a box from a retired reloader.

I've got no clue what they are and he doesn't remember

    SG1 and SG2

    A 308 Palma

They look like swaging dies. What does the bottom of the die look like?

If they are swaging dies, there should be some punches also.

Palma is a 155 gr bullet fired out of a 307 barrel. All competitor's fire the same 155 gr bullet out to 1000 yds. The center hole looks to be about .308 ? May be jacket forming ? Measure the inside and see what there is ? I can only guess? I only shoot them, I don't make any like this.

The marks on the top of the die look like it was used as a trim die.

I thought the same thing but was confused by the threads. Most trim dies are threaded 7/8x14. Maybe the die is big enough that the threads really are 7/8x14.

It's a bullet setting length gage. It's common to use the old barrel stub to make them using the new reamer. Most customer barrelers provide them. Some charge extra and some do it as part of the new build.

There are many different Palma reamers. The SG1 & SG2 may be the reamer print numbers?

You can use them to find your seating depth without taking cases in and out of the chamber and it doubles as a shoulder bump gauge.

I'll snap a pic of the bottom tomorrow, definitely not 7/8 x 14. Maybe 1.25" across. I'll measure everything in the morning

Looks very similar to the Corbin Swage bottom dies that screw into the Ram.
