This might be a long shot but the element gave out on my shot maker after 15 years of use.
Does anybody know of a source for replacing the element in his 220V shot maker?
Any help would be much appreciated. Winshooter

You may want to reach out to the Oasis Shotmaker folks. Their design looks incredibly similar to the James Stewart unit, and I'd be reasonably confident the electric element should fit with little to no fiddling.
a lot of stove elements can be bent to the needed shape but you must use a brand new never energized one, once they have been heated they cant be bent
if you are ever being chased by a taxidermist, don't play dead
If you did not have enough heat I would upgrade to a 1500 watt element.
A 6" 1250W sounds like a 3 turn element. 4 turn is 1500W. Lowe's or Home Depot.
