Lee Case Collator & 223 Brass

Anyone have any tips as to improving/modifying the Lee Case Collator for better 223 case feeding or does it just not work well? I'm finding it faster to grab a handful of casings, orient them all the same direction, then fill the four tubes by holding the casings base-down and releasing them by hand, kind of a PITA.

I may be mistaken, but I believe the collator is for pistol only. The cases have to be short enough that the balance weight wise is in the base, causing them to tip up and drop in. That’s not going to happen with rifle cases due to their length and most of the weight residing in the case body.
