    Lyman Ram Prime Die

Anybody know the size of the set screw on the priming punch holder? Thanks in advance.

I use one and I do not know. I have two rams. One for each size. I loctited the screw in place as they kept getting lose. I got my spares by emailing Lyman. They were sent to me at no charge.

I was hesitant to call Lyman due to all the complaints I’ve read about its customer service. But, just got off the phone and they’re sending me a couple replacements at no charge.

I have two rams, one for each size. Guess I need to get some Loctite.

My experiences with Lyman customer service have been similar on several occasions. Glad you have had good results.

Mine ended up coming loose after a while. I had to retighten pretty often. If I remember correctly, I ground a small flat on the stem where the set screw touches before loctiting it in. It’s been holding a couple years now and is my only priming system.

Walk into a decent hardware store with it in your hand and they should be able to find one that will fit. That size should be under a buck.
