    L'il Gun in .32-40?

Has anybody worked with L'il Gun in the .32-40? I have an excess amount of that powder (two big jugs) with no foreseeable use for it other than .22 Hornet and just one of the jugs will feed that rifle 'til kingdom come, and am running low on the 4227 I normally burn in .32-40. For what it's worth, I'm breech seating with a couple High Wall target rifles. Bullets are plain based and vary from 175 grains to 200 grains.

I see several loads for Lil Gun and the 32-40.
The volume of the powder is VERY small compared to the case volume so I would approach this endeavour tentatively so as not to double load cases. This small of a powder charge would potentially be a positional problem for ignition. Perhaps a call or an email to Hodgdon's with your question would be the most appropriate for safety's sake.
