    Grainy lead

    I am on the back porch smelting some WW. The first couple of molds droped funny and one broke in two coming out. The melt is fairly hot. Using a turkey fryer. Is this unusual is there something I should be concerned with?

    Looks like you didn't wait long enough before you dumped the ingots. I wouldn't worry about it.

    Yes, it was too hot when you dropped it but not to worry, it still comes works the same in the long run when you remelt it into bullets.
