How about a 50, 75, 100, 150 and 200 yard LEVERACTION challenge? (some guys don't have access to longer ranges.
Here is what the Roster looks like so far. Look at the blanks and send me the information needed to fill them.

How many shots? hmmmmmm, maybe I can just note how many per target...we'll check on that. I think we should at least make it our best 5 shot groups for the season.
Objective - To see how shooters group a high trajectory cartridge at different ranges for the purpose of hunting white tail deer. This "contest" is centered more around hunting skills rather that just target shooting.
Remember, your true competitor is yourself!
RULES:
1. Please use loads and methods appropriate for hunting. (Bench rests are allowed), "mouse farts" are not. Standing, leaning, propping, slings, scopes, peep sights, sticks...any method that can be used while hunting is allowed.
2. I think that first shot is important so lets count that fowling shot.
3. Including and document the first shot,
4. Try to use at least 5 shot groups. A 5 shot group may beat a 3 shot group if the MOA's are equal. A 10 shot group may beat a 5 shot group...we will see how this works out.
5. If using a scope, zero in for a concrete range (your desired hunting range) and use elevation for other ranges. This will help you become familiar with and better your skills at calculating elevation at different ranges, especially if your scope is zeroed in at a longer distance and your target is at a closer range. This is one of the reasons for only using higher trajectory cartridges.
6. Lets stay with one cartridge type for right now.
Results can be seen here as we work out details. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets...Cus/edit#gid=0
